As Christmas creeps onto the calendar (it always does sooner than expected, doesn’t it!) I thought I’d share a few of the most surprising entertainment trends I’ve been seeing for Christmas parties in 2025.
After many years performing at Christmas events for global brands, private parties and some rather familiar faces, a few clear patterns are emerging.

Guests don’t just want to watch something impressive. They want to be part of it. The most talked-about events are those where everyone shares the moment, not just the front row. An experience where everyone gets the best seats in the house – where guests feel immersed, rather than feeling like a spectator.
🧠Mind-reading is overtaking “magic tricks”
Traditional magic is great fun, but psychological magic and mind-reading create a deeper reaction. When people feel their thoughts have been influenced or predicted, the impact lasts far longer – and the conversations continue well into the new year!
🤝 Entertainment as social glue
Christmas parties have become a powerful moment to reconnect teams, spark conversation and lift energy across the room. The best entertainment now quietly brings people together rather than shouting for attention. I’ve been told several times how my magic is still talked about months later. And how this has created bonding moments for corporate teams and groups of friends.
⏱ Shorter, sharper moments of amazement
Fluid, interactive performances woven through the evening are proving far more effective than long, formal slots. Guests love the feeling that something extraordinary is happening… without it taking over the night. I love the mix and mingle format where I get to entertain everybody in the room in small groups – spreading the joy to everyone in small bursts. The energy bounces through the room as people start bringing over their friends, saying, “You’ve got to see this!” This means that those who want to join in the amazement can – but if you’d rather catch up with your friend over a drink – that’s okay too!
