The Only Entertainment That Happens in Your Guests' Own Hands
Close-up magic is not a show your guests watch from across a room. It happens on the table in front of them, in their own hands, with their own borrowed ring or signed card — which is exactly why people are still describing it to each other months later.
Roberto Forzoni is one of the UK’s leading close-up mentalists — a close-up magician and mind reader whose work leans on psychology rather than props. Thoughts are read, decisions predicted, and objects behave in ways that make a whole table turn and look at one another. Nobody is singled out, and nobody is made to feel foolish.
He is a Gold Star member of the Inner Magic Circle, resident mind reader at The Ned and a cast member of The Magician's Table in London, with over 25 years performing for royalty, Fortune 500 companies and London's finest private hosts.
Drinks Receptions & Parties
Strangers Talking Within Ten Minutes
The reception is the hardest part of any event. Guests arrive in ones and twos, conversation is polite, and the room takes half an hour to find its energy. Roberto moves from group to group and collapses that half hour into minutes.
There is nothing to set up and nothing to announce. He simply arrives, works the room as it is, and leaves people talking to each other rather than checking their phones.
Weddings & Private Dinners
Table Magic Between the Courses
Seated dinners have natural gaps — the wait between courses, the lull before the speeches. Roberto works table by table, giving every guest a front-row seat to something impossible just inches away.
For intimate gatherings of 10 to 30, The Secret Room offers something different again: a personal performance of close-up magic and mind reading for the whole group at once.

Watch Him Work Before You Book
Roberto is resident mind reader at The Ned in the City, performing two nights a week, and a cast member of The Magician’s Table, London’s immersive magic theatre show.
Very few close-up performers can be seen working live before you book them. If you would rather judge for yourself than take a showreel on trust, that option is open to you.
Thank you so much for our Annual Dinner's fantastic, mind-boggling magic. People are still asking how you could read their minds!
