The Part of a Wedding That You Don’t Plan For…

In Blog by Roberto Forzoni

With spring here and wedding season approaching, I thought this might be worth a moment of your time… even if you’re not getting married yourself – I’m sure you know someone who is this year! Please pass this on to them if you think it could be useful!

Every wedding day, however beautifully planned, has long stretches where nothing is scheduled. The drinks reception while the photographs are being taken, or the turnaround between ceremony and wedding breakfast, or even the gap between courses. These are the moments guests drift, conversations stall, and phones come out.

This is precisely where close-up magic earns its place. Not as a show, but as something moving quietly between groups – giving strangers on the same table something to talk about, keeping the energy up while the couple are away being photographed, for example. It is turning the waiting into part of the day itself.

In practice, it asks nothing of the couple. There is no stage, no setup and no announcement. I work around the photographer, the caterers and the timings, moving wherever the day needs lifting. Most couples tell me afterwards that the magic was the thing their guests talked about in the weeks that followed – and that they barely noticed it being arranged.

My spring and summer diary is open for wedding bookings, and dates are being confirmed rapidly. I’ve even got bookings coming in for weddings in 2027 – it is never too early to enquire about your special day.

If you are planning a wedding – or know someone who is – drop me an email with the date and I will let you know whether I am available, and how we can construct the most seamless and impressive entertainment into your day.
